 This is a building directly opposite my office. I sneaked away from my desk and took about 35 shots from various angles. I'd have preferred a very straight on shot to avoid the slight lean, but I didn't think of it at the time.

It was raining practically all day, so getting a good shadow was hard. I was quite lucky in the end. I was very conscious about lighting (as has been mentioned in the forums quite a lot). I hope it's paid off a little.

Not sure how this will do.. I'm quite like it, although I'm not a great fan of square-ish shots.

Thanks everyone for their comments. It would have been nice to have placed higher, but I accept that it wasn't totally within the challenge. All in all, my highest rated pic so far, so I can't complain.

Not really a cityscape, but overall a terrific shot. I don't usually pay much attention to borders, but the choice of white here works very well. High technical quality and a classic B&W image.

Very beautiful. Love the shadows made by the steps. I think the title and the picture don't quite match, at least to me, the catching element in the picture are the play of angles between windows, bricks, steps and shadows, in particular the steps and shadows. I like this one. ~9

The shadows relly work well in this picture. Good composition also. Maybe getting the full bottom landing would have added a visual completion to the photo.
