The black-and-white suggestion is rational, but I personally think the pastel feel is more effective.

| Lovely photo and overall feeling, good composition and lighting. While I'd prefer to see a little more face, there is just enough eye to satisfy. I love it, and hope that it does well. |

| good oxymoron, although it took me a minute to link with the shot (100% chance of rain). A B&W treatment may have been good here. composition is good. lighting is tough. You want some drab, I guess, to emphasize the emotion the rain is causing, but you don't want so much that the picture isn't nice to look at. 6 |

| I'm having trouble understanding the oxymoron in the image. The image itself is nice enough though. I like the subtle tones and sombre mood. Good luck with the challenge. |

| Good choice of oxymoron for the image, or vice-versa. :) I like the image for it's simple message. Hoping you don't get dinged too badly for lighting. I know the lighting is basically window light that is available and it suits the image, but I think you're going to be getting some feedback on it being too dark. JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |
