The Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro works well in creative photos like this, doesn't it. Still one of my favourites form the challenge. Regardless of the competition, it is an enduring image. |

Two words - awe and some. (Witty, aren't I?) I'd love to explain why I really like this, but I'm not entirely sure. What I like - I like the way the RR crossing signals form three distinct black dots. They go well with the three pine trees, which interestingly enough match up nicely with the three seats available should any passengers pass by. Top it all off with great detail in the foreground and a fade-into-a-blown sky and you've got something I'd definitely hang on my wall. Be fully aware, however, that my tastes are odd at best. |

quirky and a stand-out... has a muted/old feel as the tonal range isn't as wide as some of the other b&w (not a bad thing) -- one of my favorites this challenge |

Good story being told here. The shallow dof adds greatly to the sense of "no one's home". It keeps the picture about people. |

The railroad (tracks) seem like an afterthought in this photo. It is a nice photo of the chair on a beaten pathway, but it doesn't scream "train" to the viewer. |

Lots of sensor dust here, but it kind of adds to the photograph
Good luck

Sparce, simple, but eloquent. Not much really to say but that I like the effect a lot. 9. |

well seen and composed, nice tones, this definitely should ribbon (but I'm afraid, the trolls will prevent it). thin border would look better in black IMO - 9 |
