I thought this was pretty good. I don't know why it scored so low. My entry was the same name as yours and I got crushed for processing too.

There is way too much contrast for me, so I gave it a low score (3). I believe the contrast makes the image worse and feels contrived. |

I negative image with some blues or something might convey the 'ghost' effect better. IMO the image is just too washed out. |
