I like this picture Ian.
I think it is easy to see what you were looking at from your
point of view.
But I would look carefully at your comments and grow from them, as they are all good comments and you may take on board what they say.
I also think a tighter angle of the train coming towards the Foot Bridge would have been the best shot.
Saying that, If thats what you had entered, then your critics would have been saying. I would have liked to have seen more of the Station !
At least it got you out of your seat.
Well Done

Too cluttered. The footbridge, and tracks would be enough to make this a good picture. |

The areas of desaturation seem completely arbitrary - some yellows, some reds, iwthout any particular connection between those elements, or indeed anything to really point them up in the scene. The composition is perhaps what lets this down though - it's diofficult to see what you intended as your subject - the approaching train, the network of lines and wires, the bridges? None of those seem as weighty in frame as the open space of the platform, which is however lacking in any real visual interest. |

Not a pretty image. Not much of interest. Maybe a different angle would work better. |

I like the composition of the shot, but the use of the selective color actually takes away from the photo IMO on this shot. |

This photo looks a bit washed out to me. There seems to be a haze over the tracks, like glare from a window. |

I used to live out on the moors in Troon, Cornwall, when I worked in the tin mines there. That was when a few bits of mail went to Troon in Scotland... I like the selective desaturation fo colour you have used and the overall composition, IMO, is rather nice. 8. |
