This is a picture taken at a train museum in Golden, CO. The train pictured here is very large, I wish I would have had someone or something next to it to give some perspective to its size because it is very impressive.

The engine was built in West Burlington, Iowa in 1940 for high speed freight and passenger service between Chicago and Denver. retired in 1956. Weight 461,000 Lbs, holds 18,000 gallons of water and 27 tons of coal.

Yep, it's big, and your POV helps bring that out some. A little bit hard to get a real context for size by the surrounding objects. I think the way you've processed it works well. It's sharp enough and well balanced compositionally. Close to being overexposed...on the edge...actually, probably just about right. :D Anyway, good luck in the challenge.

Nice subject and background. Front of train seems a bit overblown.

Insteresting subject with a lot of gritty detail but, to me, it just looks like a museum piece. The angle of your shot shows the engine off well...but as I read the image I end up at the right side of the frame with the distraction of the caboose fighting for my attention. Perhaps a different time of day would have added drama/mood to this fascinating relic.

It looks impressive but the actual size is quesswork unless there is a person or some other reference point.

Wow that is an impressive piece of machinery. Reminds me of the old Baldwin engines.

Fery good composition and lighting. A little bit on the oversharp side.
