Photograph Information Photographer's Comments
Challenge: Exposed (Classic Editing)
Camera: Sony DSC-F717
Location: Malia's room
Date: Oct 10, 2003
Aperture: f2.1
ISO: 320
Shutter: 1/30 sec
Date Uploaded: Oct 10, 2003

High ISO and low light to give the blanket movement. I felt it was needed to emphasize where the 'exposure' is. I feel the resulting grain adds more than it detracts although I'm fairly certain I'll be hung out to dry for it.

I'm sure I'm contending with a sea of nudity and will not place very high. I also expect to be competing with several more peek a boo shoots. Such is life :) If I wanted a high score I'd have entered a breast :)

I seriously considered Black and White. Might still go with it.

I little noisy but captured at just the right time.

I love the motion blur here! I'd like to see less grain, but the mood and action of the shot are worth a little grain.

A really cute subject, but blurred blanket is distracting to me. I think more post editing could have helped this a lot.

Cute! Nice colouring. A wee bit dark, but acceptable. I like it.

Very cute shot. A bit more contrast in the child's face would make it perfect, and I don't think the extra contrast would harm the rest of the photo.

Boo to you too! A wonderful take on the challenge and the shot was probably a lot of fun to do! The only thing that would have made this better is if the little one had a look of "GOTCHA" on her face. The motion of the hair and blanket really add to the shot while you managed to keep her face in good focus. There seems to be a bit of noise on her face but the lighting is well done also. This one starts at a 7 for me.

Precious :) A bit dark though. I would like to see her face more clearly.

great idea...but the photo seems grainy..more lighting may have helped with this.

I think a muted fill flash of some sort would help the exposure level on this image a bit.

Not a bad idea for the challenge. I just wish it wasn't so dark.

Good Points: fantastic use of motion. well framed
Bad Points: not very exposed? and also underexposed by quite a bit. too much noise by far. try neatimage - it's free and can be very handy in images like this
Score:6

Good use of motion blur, shame about the noise in the image and the underexposure.
