I admit to being a bit simplistic when it comes to these contests. How do you demonstrate wind? You show it in action! My part of Georgia doesn't often get much in the way of a "stiff wind." (When it does, it's usually a tornado.) However, a nice breeze is fairly common which can move a vine about quite nicely. I never touched the vine. I set my camera on my pretty heavy Bogen tripod, gave it a skewed tilt, and set it for four seconds. Those wonderful little soft-focus impressions are slightly paused apexes during a long exposure. I think of myself as the stenographer for Creation's Greatest Living ARTIST! He does great work, doesn't He? :)

Nice idea, but the image needs something stable and sharp as a focus to keep us from getting lost in the motion blur.

I like the abstract quality to this, though there seems to be some kind of flare on the right.

Either it is indeed windy or you need to quit dumping the leftover coffee into the vines' potter. An interesting result - I like the repetitive pattern that it forms.

Sorry. I like the idea, and it certainly meets the challenge, but it's just a blurry vine to me, without a message or an emotion.

I love the abstract effect here. I'm not too sure it has a "wind" feel, yet the motion and rhythm is nice. 5

If the background were in sharper focus to contrast the movement of the vines, I think this could be great.

Oh, I bet people are going to not really like this. :-( Too out of the box, probably. Which is kind of sad. Personally, I love it SO MUCH. Green is my favorite color and I just ADORE how you captured the movement while still making the leaves distinct!!! I like the grain and the contrast also. Good luck in the challenge... and no matter how you do score wise just keep in mind that there is one person who thinks this photo ROCKS!

Well, these leaves do show the effects of wind, but it would be nice if they formed a pleasantly pleasing compostion at the same time. Just a thought, of course.

There have been a number of images in this challenge where the subject comes off as blurred rather than as portraying Wind to the viewer (solely my opinion of course). This image falls into that category for me.

I just wish there was something that showed me more wind rather than blurred/moving image which can happen due to camera shake or if the photographer is moving rather than the subject moving.

The diagonal plane in the bottom right corner is distracting to me as I don't know if it is supposed to be a vertical or horizontal subject from which to reference the rest of the composition.

Score: 5.
