 Out-of-focus leaves in the background add autumn colors to the foreground bonsai tree. The intent is is to be somewhat abstract and feature the colors and textures, hence no attempt was made to have the entire bonsai tree in the frame. The turning maple provides a colorful backdrop, but is diffuse enough so that the tree stands out.

Processing steps: USM to increase contrast, resize, USM to sharpen, save for web. That's all.

One of my favorites, if not the favorite... a lot of character and very pleasing colors...............and captured the bokeh (meets challenge with out doing the macro thing).
