Not a sporting venue. But good composition, interesting lighting, just a bit more light on the pencil would help.

I think a bit of tilt to the camera would increase the dynamics of this shot immensely. I also think that a black and white conversion might really bring out some of the cool textures in the shot. Good concept.

DNMC IMO. No sporting venue...

Nice shot. I think that perhaps cropping it closer to the pencil on the left would have been better, maybe even a square crop to play off the squares in the puzzle. Not really a sport, but since my entry in this challenge pushes the boundaries a bit, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and hope the karma helps me too :-) 6

Very creative take on the challenge. I think it's missing the "wow" factor though.

Is sudoko a sport? I'll assume so. Is the game over? Doesn't look like it. Aside from that waffle good image. The lighting on the pencil is great: 6

I'm not sure voters will get this. I'm not sure I do. We needed to see more of the 'game' so that we could grasp the idea. Either way your shot is lit well, it's clean, clear and hope you do well.

This photo evokes mood. I can feel the frustration! The strewn pencil splinters really help.

sporting event....DNMC a 1

Oh my god. I literally spent a whole year completing one of these stupid sudoko puzzle books from cover to cover hundreds of the silly puzzles, night after night before going to bed. Because I can be so OC about these things I had to complete the whole book in order without any help, so obviously it took ages. Now I'm completely sick of the stupid things and will probably never do another one again. As such, I relate to your photo and your title and give this a 9.

Was there a sudoku sporting challenge?

Details: Your challenge this week is deceptively simple: photograph a sporting venue after the game is over and the players and people have gone home :-)
