Saw this guy whilst driving one evening. Was taken in the dark. Basically RAW, Jpeg, Brightness & Contrast, Crop, Size.

Does not really meet the challenge in my opinion, will give you the benefit of the doubt...

Background is very noisy, this needs a run through neat image or the like. Since the challenge was advanced editing, you could have just applied the noise reduction to the owl, keeping the background sharp.

Composition is also very centred, and the owl seems a bit soft to me.

a bit too much of a landscape picture and not enough of a portrait...but then "portrait" is open to debate... I would have liked a tighter crop to make more of the owl eys
