Playing with the manual mode, which I'm not very comfortable with, and trying to get a shot where the whites aren't blown out. As I was shooting, she saw something fly by the window and got excited. You can still see part of the arm of the chair in the background, but it didn't seem that distracting, so I didn't worry about it.

Cats have some of the most intense expressions of any animal. This is an excellent image as the subject is in great focus, and very sharp in detail. The exposure is right on too, as all the detail in the fur is easy to make out. I often shoot all manual, esp brids, which are so easy to overexpose. It seems to be a bit of a challenge to shoot all manual, but very rewarding to see the results when everyting is right.
