Thank you Chase_man. One of the world's greatest nephews. My son flat out refused to pose. Even for money.

I bought a cheap umbrella and flipped it inside out. Then, I tied a piece of thread from the umbrella to his shirt so it would look like it was moving too,. Took the picture.

There are several little things that bother me, but overall, I enjoyed it, and I think he did as well.

PP: In raw, adjusted brightness, then in PSP, I adjusted saturation a bit, cloned out the thread (if I had wanted it to be visible, it wouldn't have been :<) resized.

Maybe if there were actual rain.

This *might* have worked if it had been B&W

Nice idea. I'm not quite convinced, a few leaves in motion might help. Shallower DOF would help tone down the distracting background.

I've never seen such strong wind on such a bright sunny day...could this be an imposter?

Nice color coordination between the young man's clothes and the umbrella, and very nice light to shoot this - especially the way it shines through the front of his shirt to emphasize it "blowing in the breeze". The holding the hat on isn't as convincing as it could be - might have been fun to have the hat flying through the air, but would have been a whole lot more difficult to pull off.

nice idea, nice photo and all but, I'm a little bothered by the leaves on the ground that aren't being blown away by the huge wind.

I appreciate the good will but with that great wind the background it is firm? 6
