Great action. Wonderful expression. Really clean composition with the three posts and a very clean, uncluttered background with the fence and grass.

Post processing seems a bit over the top, particularly with the way sharpening has been applied and the obvious halo'ing around features in the image (e.g., his left shoulder/t-shirt. This lets down what would be a great image.

the complimentary colors really work for me here - an excellent use of selective desat - now go teach the others in this challenge - PLEASE! :-)

Very nice action. Perhaps a bit over-sharpened though.

Cool action shot- it has me wondering how the landing worked out! Colour is effective to draw focus to the portraiture of the photo.

To me...your edit is great...except...I think a little selective blur on the edges would have put your photo on top. Good luck to ya.

Very nice!
I wouldn't have minded if you cropped the right pole about halfway, making the photo more about the boy.

Not a traditional portrait but I really speaks to me. Maybe a tad over sharpened for my taste but bumping to a 9 none the less.

The desat really makes him stand out nicely.
