 Something different like the challenge asked for, dont expect the DPC lot to like this very much. The original was pretty dull, I like this version better. 4.8 maybe scrape a 5.1?

ah 4.6! my prediction of 4.8 > 5.1 was a bit off! Never mind, thanks for the comments (well most of them!). Pleasing to see that not everybody on this site wear blinkers.

I am so tired of photos that have been neat imaged to a point where they look like a shot taken on Mars,(but of course I use it too) that this image, with lots of noise, (that works too) awakens in me a desire to stop sanitizing my work to garner votes and just put my photos out there ... thank you... Mac

Noise adds to this photo because it seems to depict the "electrically-charged" atmosphere we live in! :)

I like the idea you are going for with the noise, but I find the color cast a little distracting. Also, the foreground doesn't really add much for me. I might have liked it more if you had tilted your lense up a little more.

Don't like the grain, the tones are alright and the composition is a bit uninspiring. The comp might have been better with the camera tilted up so that the bottom was just below the power poles and included more sky.
