I really like the random composition of the nuts with this one!

This definately fits the challenge. I think it could have been better on a different background. And maybe clean up the crumbs around the area. Probably a closer shot or a closer crop would have made a better shot too.

Open nuts and sliced fruit are something of a cliche on this challenge, but this is very well done. Nice plain background, and the variety of exposure of the nuts - from untouched to completely empty - makes it original. Nice lighting and compositionl.

I think this photo really meets the challenge and the green against the peanuts is perfect. The only thing I would have changed is the one peanut that has the string at the end of it. I found that to be a bit distracting. Otherwise a great shot.

Nicely done macro shot. The color contrast is nice and the theme is good, but the photo doesn't hold much subjective interest for me overall.

On the poker table perhaps? :) This is a wonderful idea, cracking the shell and exposing the nuts inside! Just like people! :) I will admit though that the random pattern of the peanuts throws me off a bit and the cropping, the cutting off of the shells is a bit off balancing to me since the main subject is so centered, maybe having the main subject just slightly off center a bit would have balanced it more for m. I love the colors inthe shot and the detail is fantastic. I'm starting this with a 7, I'll be back to look again.

I'm not sure about the square aspect ratio, and the green background.

Good composition and set up, lighting good, DOF just a tad off (would have been IMO that bit better if front to back focus was sharper.

Challenge well met witha nice idea.

Good idea, fun thinking. I would of liked the bottom 1/4 cropped out and maybe a little less saturation. Over all this is good, and it's bang on for the challenge.
