I would have gotten a little lower, putting your camera at his level. Also, this would be a great candidate for a black-and-white photo.

We have people like this in Las Vegas too...it's sad to see. I work with them all the time (I'm an EMT). Even in the middle of the summer, they still wear all their cloths just like your man - bacause they have np place to keep them and they are afraid of having them stolen. A lot of them die each year of heat stroke. Anyway...sorry if I brought you down with my story. AS far as the photo...maybe if he was all in the sun or in shadow...it might imporve your photo some more. Good luck to ya.
