I think the lighting is really fantastic; despite the high contrast, there's detail in the shadows, which is pretty impressive. I don't think people really know what they're looking at, so I hope you don't let the score discourage you. That picture is so great.

I really like this one. The detail the sunbeam shows on the sweater makes it real somehow. Slice of life. Very nice

I like the idea, layout and lighting. But whatever is behind the sofa is distracting..

Just look at those beautiful lines of sunlight, the profound mystery of his hidden face, resonating with the mystery of the background. Utter darkness in his shadows, utter darkness in the background and foreground... while the subject lies in the light that exists between the two. It is as if we are looking at his sleep, rather than him. I'll start this at 9.

A delicate shot, but I find the effect damaged by the too high contrast

For a portrait challenge I'd have preferred to see a bit more face.

Cherish you're Grandpa...I never really knew mine. The focus on the sweater is very good...hope that photo works out for ya!

Think we should see some of his face.

Nice faceless portrait.

Just makes me want to reach out and tickle him. Your light is a little strong on his face, but otherwise, very nice.

I'm not really seeing enough of the chap. Another angle showing more of his face and less background may have been more endearing.
