I hope this qualifies as a portait in this challenge. No mention that the portait had to be human. I thought most mammals made a better subject for a landscape format, so I made a trip to the zoo. Ran across this rather large hyena pacing back and forth in an enclosure below me. Every so often he shot up a rather unfriendly glance. I caught this one.

This image reminds me of Paul Theroux's rich description of a preditory hyena in his adventure biography: "Dark Star Safari: Overland from Cairo to Capetown".
