 tree on Mammoth Mountain. Bright sunny day with strong blue sky, lots of contrast. Thought it would look better in this tone.

good choice for b/w. I find myself wondering what happened to the left side of that tree! Forest fire? Volcano? Interesting.

Beautifully composed. I love the high contrast on the trees agains the neutral sky and the big slice of dark ground across the bottom.

That's sweet :-) Very striking image. I'd have considered applying a smidgeon of gradient to the sky from the top down to contain it a little, but that's just my style really.
