 OK... this is about the best I could do with a 50mm lens on a rainy morning. Taken at Silver Creek Falls State Park east of Salem, Oregon. It is one of many nice waterfalls in this area.

I don't like the focus and wish I could get that right.

Post Processing:
1-Raw conversion with CS2 to Adobe RGB and 16-bit
2-Levels and Curves for mid-toned contrast
3-Selective Color to bring out greens, yellows and reds
4-50% greyscale layer for highlighting
5-Crop, resize for the web
6-Smart Sharpen and use of Photoshop sharpen tool
7-Save for web optimized to 150K

What a beautiful oasis!!! The colors are magical and the waterfall is lovely. A 10 in my book.

I like this one a lot, very nice. The composition is really good. I see you mentioned the focus in the comments, and that you shot it at 1.8 - that lens tends to be soft wide open, but it can give you a certain look and it turns out well with some sharpening, like in this one.

Wow, very nice. I love the way you made the falls only a small part of the composition so that you could highlight the autumn foliage.

Wow... I wonder if it works better if you desaturate the falls themselves so they glow more? Great capture.
