Something old. Use your photographic technique to emphasize the age of your subject. Composition - quite good. Did you try a version of the carriage only? Technical Aspects - quite good Meets Challenge - yes Visual Impact / Originality - high

Very nice attempt by the photographer, I think. However, the shot is too tightly cropped, which sort of shoves the image in one's face. Nice B&W though. Meets challenge. |

I like this a lot. Would like the roof at top left not to be clipped and could lost a little at the right to balance it more. |

I liked it!! but to me it'd looke better with the wagon a litle bit more to the left. (6) |

yep it's old. I think it might have worked better closer cropped, as there is too much in the picture to draw the eye. I find my focus torn between the inanimate coach in the front, or the old faded words on the top, or wondering about the continuation of the one-quarter-mile sign |

Almost convincing as a genuinely old photo. Only the sharpness of the focus gives it away. |

Good composition. Very sharp. Very consistent, and definitely old, if I suspend my knowlege that the carriage is a "for show" item. |

I knew someone would find a barn with the "Mail Pouch" advertisement on the side. |

This is one of my favorite photos this week... the mood of this is completely 'old' and you have done a great job of capturing the challenge... The color toning you chose accents the age of this scene very nicely as well. I'm giving this photo a 10, but I still have a personal preference critique... I wonder if it would have been possible to shoot this from another angle... Possible the exact same angle viewing from the right side rather than this side... I think that being able to see the front of the carriage would be a nice enhancement.... good shot :) - jmsetzler |

I dont really like the buggy, I think the Building and "Mail Pouch" sign would carry the photo(out of your control I'm guessing). Maybe more of the building, at least the top left roof section. Nice gutters for the 1800s. I would like to see this in color if the signs on the sides dont stand out to much. 8 |

Good photo, though I feel you should've focused on either the building or the buggy. Still, an excellent 1800's feel to it. |

Great picture. I would have liked to see the whole building - but then, it's still a really good shot as it stands. It actually looks like an picture, so it works. (8) Good luck... |

I like the use of black and white. The car is a bit too dark. The building is great, isn't it! Why are some edges jaggedy? 7 |

Excellent photo -- I would like to see this with less compression but I know you had to smash it down to upload it. |

I wonder how many people know the significance of a mail pouch tobacco barn!! Nice photo.. it demonstrates an obscure piece of americana. |
