I did not really do much post-processing to the photo, as I simply converted the file from the RAW format, applied the Unsharp Mask filter sparingly to the photo, resized to 640x480, then saved the file as a JPEG.
As for the idea behind the photo, I found the challenge to be an unorthodox one, as we were meant to take a portrait in a landscape mode, so I applied that idea of straying from untraditional thought in my photograph. I found the large frame in someone's trash a few days ago as I was contemplating what to do for this photo. Originally I was planning on taking the photo of myself sitting under a tree with a NO TRESPASSING sign stapled to it, at the same time holding the frame next to me with a picture edited in of me under the same tree without the NO TRESPASSING sign. I then thought the extensive editing may ruin the photo, so I found a spot down the river and came up with the idea seen in the photo. I believe it represents the kind of person I am quite well, as I do not like to confine myself to the traditional thought of society. |

Good to push the boundaries of the same old square. |

Great idea.
The horizon looks skew though, makes the image seem as if it is falling over. |

I love how the horizon is tilted but the frame is straight. I think this would be more effective if I could see the bottom of the frame. 7. bump to 8 |

Very clever. Focus for me is more on the frame and horizon angle which makes it a fascinating shot. As a consequence however the person takes a distant second place in terms of subject. I wonder if that will cost you with the voters. I really enjoy interesting approaches to a challenge and this certainly qualifies. Perhaps less of a strong focus on the ankle and foot would help (it's the first part of the person I noticed). |

You're brave walking around without shoes, turning your back on us and living in a world tilted to the right like that. But, I'm proud of you...it is certainly living outside the box and I like that! Nice photo. |

Not really a portrait- can't see the subject's face. Looks like a landscape that has a person in it. |

hmmm..think you borrowed the idea. Must admit I had notions of using a frame within the frame too. |
