 Nothing too terribly exciting here. Aimee, the kids and I drove around North COlumbus after dinner one night checking out the different neon signage. Trying to find and shoot a creative image is pretty tough. As flashy as neon signs are they really dont seem to translate to pictures well (I know I will be proved wrong in challenge but this is just my experience). I took some shots at Don Pablo's of their store front hoping for a cool restuarant scene but it was really stinking cold and windy and I didnt feel like pulling out our crap tripod to get a clean shot. I had taken a couple shot sof their big sign straight on but on the way back to the car I decided to take a couple at a different angle. Of all the shots I took that night at several different stores this (sadly) was the best of the bunch. I like the colors, lines and curves and the fact that it is against a total black background, but I realize this is nothign groundbreaking and will probably fall in the low 5 range. Cant expect 6s all the time I guess.

PP - Raw conversion with shadow and highlight contrast adjustments and saturation. In PS - saturation, levels to finish off black, USM and crop. Not a whole lot to do with this one.

Well, I think this one is very interesting. . .and much more deserving than 5.4! It's so pretty on that velvet black background!
