Just plain a stunner. The thumbnail was awesome and the full-sized image doesn't disappoint. The foreground has just enough interest and detail, and the water looks like silk. I'd probably give you a 9 or 10 on this. |

this is a slick landscape shot, which is not my cup of tea, but darn if this isn't a great example. You've got interesting foreground elements on both sides of the frame. The eye goes up the support of the bridge over the bridge and down the other support. The foreshortening is intense and distorting, which is a good thing because landscapes are inherently boring :) and need something to increase interest. You've got the standard long exposure for the waterfall, BUT you've isolated the waterfall into a small (though critical) portion of the photo and you allowed for a "blown highlight" at the bottom of the falls which radiates out in almost a perfect ellipse. Nice colors in the vegetation and very pretty rocks, too! |

Nicely done with the framing, though I wonder what it would be like in Portrait orientation. ;>þ |

Okay, this is overall a really very nice photograph. Nice framing with the leaves, and good eyeflow and leading lines. Expousre and contrast are perfect.
I might like a bit more at the bottom of the frame to raise the falls up a bit. Also, the bridge and color foliage have a somewhat competing effect overall with the falls. Possibly shooting through something with a similar viewpoint framed by leaves that encompases the bridge with the rail leading down from a corner, into the trees, into the right falls, and then leaving some negative space to flow through to the left falls and then back down the bridge and on and on. Could be better if there is a vantage point for such a thing. |
