This is a great shot, but the emphasis seems to be more on teh sky and the rays of light rather than the electrical lines.
If I were to see this without knowing the chanllege topic, I would not have guessed it was science. |

I generally don't care for this type of a shot, but this one has a lot of dramatic lighting and clouds... good catch. |

The only thing that I don't like about this shot, is the tower being right in the middle of the image. I would perfer it off to one side or the other. |

Beautiful photo. Particularly enjoyed contrast between manmade and natural light producers. Smart. Sharp focus. Good one! Might be more interesting with a more off center subject (power line thing). |

Dramatic, yet fine light, very satisfying tonal gradation, a remarkable photograph. The generous expanse of sky remains perfectly balanced (1/3 : 2/3, spatially and with respect to distribution of colour weight). Even the beams of light appear within thirds. I also applaud the avoidance of any optical artifacts for this natural capture.
The near central position of the tower (and directly under the light source) however, to my senses, fails the compositional givens of this otherwise outstanding capture. |

lol - the one time a high voltage tower doesn't detract from the subject. Excellent shot. |

Nice idea, but I don't think the pylon works well horizontally centred. Great light though. 6 |
