Ok, let me say that this gives me the chills...as I HATE going to the dentist. HOWEVER, my husband and I are both in the medical field, so I definitely am feeling this photo. I like the different angle, and even the darkness of it. You can definitely feel like you are the patient in this photo. Good job! |

Unique Portrait. I think the selective coloring takes away from the "portrait" aspect, but I like what it conveys. |

Hey, whatch out the needle, Doc! It's going to drop on the lens...
Definitely a different facet of self... I'd like to see your face less blurred. |

Very effective. The first thing my eye was drawn to was the needle, but it did not take much at all to see the "self-portraitness" of the photo. |

I wonder how many legally blind people who visit dpc aren't even going to be able to figure out what this is. This scares me the more I look at it. |

I was actually going to shoot a very similar shot with my loupes, facemask, and a drill instead of the anesthetic. Our labs were locked for the evening though, so I went with a different shot. I really like this though. Excellent composition and subject. I feel like maybe the light threw off your metering and you are a little underexposed, but not majorly. Good luck. |
