 My attempt at being Humphrey Bogart. The title is one of his favorite quotes, and sums up how I felt after finally getting a shot I was happy with. Self-portraits are a HUGE pain in the a**!

Good one. I'm torn about the lighting. The hot spot on the hand is interesting and dramatic, but it does draw my eye away from your face. It might have been even nicer if the hat was lit like your hand, instead. Great pose and expression.

I like this study because of its solid tonal rendition and good exposure. The glace and expression fit the title very well. To have made this perfect I would have brought the right hand just over a bit and positioned it so as to eliminate the 9th zone blow outs in the fingers. This is minor and may not even be noticed by most viewers. Regardless, you get a 7 on first pass for a wonderful portrayal.
