Challenge: Reflections Without Mirrors III (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Casio Exilim EX-Z3
Location: A lake in Malaysia
Date: Nov 6, 2006
Date Uploaded: Nov 6, 2006

The lake was crystal clear and chanced upon these dead flies with a discarded mineral water bottle. The high noon sunlight certainly helps.

Please open your eyes. There were also a few others asking the same question.

This picture was taken in a shallow lake (about one foot deep) with bright granite bed. The dead flies were floating and their shadows, including the mineral bottle, were cast onto the bright granite bed. Can you see their reflection now?

Maybe you need to look up what a reflection is. Casting a shadow is not a reflection. It is a very unique shot and I like the composition, it just didn't meet the challenge.

You have a photograhic eye and the only positive comment so far. Perhaps only you understand my works.

Regardless the majority of the negative comments (which I believed they yet to trained their eyes), I would consider this picture remains as one of my classic shot.

I'm sorry. These are not flies, they are monkeys.
