Yes, it was kind of strange that we both shot this. I knew as soon as I decided to try this challenge, though (and I don't try very many) that the Zanzibar's was one of the neon signs I wanted to shoot, simply because, despite its sleazy subject, it had the most "neon art" of any I could think of in our city. (I eventually did find a couple of other signs that were more or less interesting, but only more or less.) I took about 30 shots , trying to get one in which all the sections of the sign were lit up at the same time. The one I used was the only usable one of the 30 or so in which at least most of them were.

Interestingly, you chose to emphasize the sleaze element by showing a rather sleazy looking person outside the building (a very nice touch, I think) and including all the text at the bottom of the sign. I guess I was a bit embarrassed about the sleaze, and so "censored" the bottom of the sign.
