Well, I learned a lot with this one. I knew that the light on his arm was to bright; but I thought that the interesting cultural aspects of the shot, and the fact that it was real (as opposed to studio) largely made up for that. (I suppose I have a bias towards photographing what exists in reality rather than creating something for a photo. We'll see if I maintain that opinion as I (hopefully) improve.) But this is not sour grapes. I have learned a valuable lesson regarding what people like and what makes (or breaks) a photo. |

Very interesting picture. Maybe a little too much sunlight on the shoulder, but I'm scoring it high. |

A bit overexposed (i.e. arm) which draws the focus away from his face & headscarf (I apologize, I don't know the proper term for his "headwear"). |
