Some people are just stupid. Blow it off. You could bracket for your exposures and she wouldn't have to stand still as a stone for minutes on end. Morons.
This shot should have placed much higher. I had to wade through page after page of ghoulish, cartoon-like, crap that appear to have been created by schizophrenic 3 year olds on acid just to see how this shot fared.
What a crying shame.

thanks guys. Yes that was snow and it was also very windy and cold. brrrss..she is a little trooper.
I am a bit depressed that everyone thought it HAD to be three different photos. Although I did try that. In the end I just used one and messed with each shot individally and slapped them together. The challenge rules did not say I couldn't do that. Retarded voters. "sigh" |

The only photo of the challenge I opened up and actually said out loud... "WOW!"

What I love so much about this photo is the perfect exposure on those sheer sleeves and her outfit -- with the backlight behind her. This is such an awesome photo!!!!

Wow, I gave this one an 8--I thought it would be top 10 for sure. Either way, GREAT image. Since it looks like there is snow on the ground, kudos to your model for posing like that in the cold! Absolutely beautiful. |

Really lovely photo! It must have been hard to keep her really still for a bunch of exposures. |

A standout entry and very good use of HDR processing. |

Well done, the technique seems executed to the T. GL. |

Really nice use of HDR to get the sun spotlight and still bring out the details of the girl. |

she stood there like that for 5 exposures? With no blurring around the edges? If this is really an HDR it is spectacularly difficult to do this! |

Beautiful colors and composition... and I hope that she didn't get too cold! |

Another rare and excellent example of HDR imaging. Nothing silhouetted and very nice lighting all around. I hope this does well, though I'm afraid one of the many hallucinogenic nightmares I just clicked past in horror will probably take the prize. |

looks like torture for her, holding that pose for the recommended 7 shots.
7 for the image and 2 for her pain and suffering :) 9 |

I can definitely see where the HDR processing worked on this photo. You make a convincing argument for this type of processing as you used it very well to render a great photo with very natural look. Nicely composed photo as well, great job! |
