| Peculiar title :-) I'm not sure you've got enough of the surroundings of this shoot to give a great feeling of solitude - the impression is of clever framing rrather than a real one-off plant in a wilderness. Technically perfectly fine - and I like the progression of focus against the grain of the soil/sand whatever. |

| Heh, cute title. I like the contrast of color against grey. Focus is good in general, but I wish the plant was sharper, rather than the gravel/sand beneath it. The low lighting sets off the image well. I think the border is too bright, pulls my eyes away from the photo. 6 |

| I had to chuckle when I looked down and saw the picture that goes with the title. Clever. I love how bright the plant is against the gray of the ground. It really stands out. |

| This was actually one of my ideas at first. The sole seedling. I like the contrast between the fresh plant (life) and the ashen sand (death). The blur at the top left and bottom right doesn't add much to the photo though. |
