 Watch cap, spelunking headlamp, charcoal and ashes on face with safety glasses on, hung glasses off ear, turned on light, used remote switch. Overseas shipping crate top as background; one 250 watt boom swung down to floor with light tilted up on background with 2 layer diffuser and isolated with black sheet; 2 x 250 watt work lamps placed inside a packing box with a single layer diffuser on floor in front; camera directly above box.

PI 12 RAW module: +.3 exposure compensation, transferred to PI 12 Editor as RAW.

Tried to shoot for spots but after seeing the shots my model said there was a reason I never got one processed - she was right. So this was a second choice. Used a model for lighting set-up and focus then she rubbed my face with ashes and charcoal. I sat with the remote switch in my lap and fired off about a dozen shots with different shutter speeds. This was my choice. Wish there wasn't dog hair sticking to the wool cap and I had a different expression. Oh well. Always miss something and now that I notice it is no longer possible to re-shoot.
