I understand that this was probably a "moment" captured as the surfers were leaving. It's a shame that the blownout sun had to be included in this as the rest of the image looks nice overall. Could be sharpened maybe just a little. In this challenge the photographers were given artistic license with a rule exception allowing text. It wasn't required, but I can't help but wonder why you didn't give it a shot? Just an observation. Best of luck to you in the challenge.

Love the shot, especially because the models have a human element to them instead of being...well...models! It looks like a spur of the moment shot. You can even see what I think is a whistle hanging of the person to the right's neck. 8

Backlight shots tend to look better when the shadows are black. I think a slight contrast adjustment would help greatly.
