For those of you wondering about the birds, the Gouldian finch is Australian and the Tri-colored Parrot Finch is Indonesian (Timor).

There are a couple of good sized aviaries at Butterfly World in Florida where these birds live and breed in captivity. They seem to have a happy normal life in that environment. They are busy eating, bathing, grooming, building nests, raising young. There are several species of finches, honeycreeper, and hummingbirds living happily together. Visitors can enter the aviaries and stroll the garden paths and relax on benches to watch the birds. I love it there.

Okay I figure I will give my thoughts on this in return for my postcard comments. I reckon you got a fair score for this. I didn't vote in Postcards, but probably would have voted this either 6 or 5. I'm sure that the photo part of it is into 7 territory on its own, but the text is a bit distracting. It looks like you've tried to echo the vibrant colours of the birds in the text, when what would probably have been easier on the eye is something more muted, or, like someone else mentioned, something overlaid on a corner of the photo.

But if you followed my advice you'd have scored 4.3, so you did well ;)
