I like the concept behind the image, but I'm not quite drawn in by the composition as much as I could be. I think the candleholder thingie in the middle obstructs too much of the back candles. I also think it might have had a bigger impact if all of the candles had that translucent quality of light through wax like the front two do. Still the soft focus works great here, enhancing the aspect of the light. The warm colors and soft light almost floating in darkness says quiet/hushed feeling or mood. Calm and contemplative. 5 |

This is a great concept, I especially like the way you have the candles burned down to the point where we aren't being overpowered by having to look at the flames.
A couple of suggestions if I may? I wonder how this would look with candles of uniform size and shape, rather than different heights and types? The translucent candles (lighter colored ones) seem to be transmitting the light through the wax much better than the darker/thicker candles do. The candle holder in the middle is covering up the candles in the back, which helps block the flames, and that's good, it kind of breaks up the continuity of the image.
I hope this helps,

Love the candles, but there seems to be some sort of structure in the middle obscuring a couple of them. Lighting and mood is very nice here, I just wish that obstruction wasn't there. |
