This photo was taken at Corral Beach, Malibu, just as the fog was rolling in. I was lucky enough to have a romantic couple to capture along with this beautiful sunset.

What is that in the water? Great shot...a bit too much gold color.

What makes this composition nice is the diagonal balance between the sun on the upper left and the romantic couple on the lowere right. Placement of the suns refelction to highlight the rock works well to. The birds are good, but very small in the frame.

Could be my monitor but the image looks a little dark on the couple's side. Since there is little sky detail and foreground detail placement of your main elements is most important in this composition. For that reason I'd recommend a smaller crop that begins 25 pixels in from the far right, is 60 pixels down from the top and 60 pixels in from the left side. I don't recommend it because it fits the rule of thirds in several important ways for a landscape image, but because it looks better to me and balances the sun and couple even better than you have it.

You would have to move your titling, of course. You might try it placing the "W" at a 45 degree angle to the center of the setting sun on the uper right. You might like that positioning best.

I like the gradient on the text but it could have been a point or two larger.
