Cropping this picture was a great way of composing this centered shot. The panoramic feel helps isolate the subject in this beautiful autumn day. |

Bobster, i too think that people deserve to know when their comment was helpful but we all have a different idea of what "helpful" is. Telling someone they have nice colours is good and well, but as a learner, I think that a little depth to the comment may have helped me to think of other ways to improve. it's not that i don't appreciate their comment, i do, but that may not be my idea of what is "helpful". i too was disappointed at the results of this photo only because i was quite happy with what it said to me. thanks for your comment. |

Gorgeous colors, the leaves are fantastic. Nice distance feeling, helps give a solitude tone. I'm wishy washy on whether the couple would count as a single subject, I find it hard to view it in an 'all alone' light. Focus is good, composition is nice, though I'd have preferred the couple to be somewhere other than central. Also, I'm not sure why the red coat is so much more bright than the leaves on the trees, but it does seem a little too vibrant. Don't get me wrong, these are rather small things, I think this is a fantastic image. Nicely executed. 9 |

Great colors and textures. The couple stands out nicely and although a centered subject is not conventional composition, it works well here to emphasize they are alone. But a couple alone doesn't really suggest loneliness or solitude; indeed this photo give me the impression they are just waiting for you to put the camera away! I don't usually like borders, but this one works very well for this image. |

Not too much lonliness seen in this beautiful setting... great picture but not of lonliness or solitude. |

A different idea. The couple is all alone. I feel, for my taste, there is too many centers in this image. The horizon is almost centered and the couple is centered. Maybe you could have had less ground or less trees and then put the couple down or up in a corner. Just my personal taste. I really enjoy the colors in the image however. |

A very nice use of colors. My only critique is in the placement of the subjects. I think placing them lower in the frame and a bit left or right would have improved the shot. |
