The scenery does seem rather bleak. I like the black & white tones, very good contrast. I'm not sure if the title is indicating that this is an anniversary of the day, this is where the person was, or just a representation of how the photographer felt. The use of natural light is great, my only negatives are I wish the entire tree was visible and sharper, and the white border draws my eyes away. Nice work! 6

Dang, something about this picture just grabbed me and has haunted me since I first voted. Without the title, I'm not sure it would have been as effective, yet the title really doesn't tell anything. I'm not sure. This is the kind of shot that could definitely tell a story. Good capture. 10
