Terrific!! This is my year too, and I am particularly impressed with your creativity. I couldn't think of anything I was happy with so I went for Perspective. Not just for the year, but for the image and creativity - 10. |

I like the darker tones, well portrayed gloom of the war |

Nice idea and title, matching sky. Exposure balance might be better with a little more for the foreground, giving needed detail to the gun emplacement while preserving most of the sky. |

The drama is wonderful. Great tones throughout from black blacks to white whites. |

if that is an artillery gun I don't think you ahve done a good enough job at making it the subject, however the processing is very good and does say WWII era to me. |

Very moody picture, love the sky and the dark feel to the whole thing, works so well to convey the message. |

great shot, love how dramatic the sky is and the lone gun emplacement. my one gripe is that by this time the storm was already nearly at full force. but thats just me. good work |

Lovely photo.
May be a slight bit too dark,
perhaps due to the resizing. |

Could have used some HDR to bring out the details in the dark areas, could have been a 7, but I have to settle for a 5. |

too bad that the canon lacks details |

While the foreground is a little dark, I think it helps add to the ominous mood of this shot. The composition is awesome and the clouds shape the entire tone of the photo. Well done! :) |

Sorry for the low vote. The subject (tank) is just too dark for my taste. I think it would have been effective to have either a lower view point and create a silhouette or expose the tank more to gain more detail thus separating the tank. Also the clouds don't seem to be that much in focus. I don't know what f-stop you used, but perhaps you could have stopped it down? Mabye this could have been a good chance to use hyperfocal distance? |
