My Sons corn snake (susie), she's about 4 1/2 foot long and very timid & camera shy and wouldn't sit still for long as she wanted to explore:-)
Nothing much done but i would have liked to remove the shadow on the back wall but contrained by basic editing.
In RAW, increased shadows to 30, strong contrast in curves and increased red saturation +30, red hue -20
In PSP - blurred the background and unsharpen mask., sized & saved for web.

Although I think you wanted to include the snake's shadow, I don't think it really enhances this shot. The composition might be stronger with more space below his head.

It lacks a three dimensional perspective. It is a snakes-eye view whick is a kind of persepctive. The snakes shadow is distracting.

I kind of wish the eye weren't red, but I do understand the limits of the editing allowed :) Otherwise, great shot, I love the huge shadow in the background, maybe next try to get the whole snake in focus? I don't know how possible it is, depending on how big it is, but I love it either way. 9 :)

I like the way you used lighting to give it a big, ominous shadow in the background. Beautiful snake and a great shot.
