"Critique Club"

I find this a very inspiring photo. But it has a lot of flaws at the same time. While the composition itself is good the focus appears slightly off and noticable more in the wording than anywhere else. Second thing that in some ways adds to the feeling of the photo is the jet overhead. As much as it adds to the photo it also takes from the photo, and creates a distraction it also appears to be over edited and that is noticable in that jet stream, as it isn't a solid fluid line it is broken up.

I do think you met the challenge well with lighting, it is a nice image with only a few minor flaws.

Did you wait for that jet to fly by or was it just a coincidence? Good job controlling the sun ... I've been shooting a lot of backlit flags lately myself -- it's an interesting "challenge."

Being an C141 (Qtr Pounder) pilot in my time, I am naturally partial to the Big Mac, the C5. I love the flag and good frame.

The different elements of this image work very well together.

that's really cool - nice to see a subject that most others can't see/get to. The trail in the sky is a nice bonus to the shot. Nice work.

Terrific shot! I love the way the flag seems to be peeking through. It really stands out in the light...great job!

I like the composition of this image, particularly the juxtoposition of the plane trail in the sky behind the grounded plane. Use of light is great, diffuses through the flag nicely adding a great bright bit of color. Nice focus. The plane does seem to hover between a bit too dark and just right, but I don't think its a huge issue. 7

i MUST ADMIT EVERYTHING CAME TOGETHER FOR THIS SHOT. THE STREAK FROM THE PLANE IN THE SKY. THE FLAG PEAKING THROUGH, THE WONDERFUL BLUE SKY. GREAT SHOT.

Wow. Interesting shot. Is the plane being built or repaired. Nice lighting effect. 6.

One of the better "plane" photos I've seen. I can't decide whether the flag is a nice touch or distracting, same as the contrail. I like the sun behind the nose. To me, this is a fun, colorful image. Well done.
