 I had to take this little guy away from his mother for 15 minutes. He was quite unhappy with me for doing that and I was just about to put him back as his attitude refused to meet the subject of the challenge, when, all of a sudden he seemed to accept the situation. Sad, looking back to the place where his mother and his two brothers were sitting, he gave me the opportunity of taking this picture. I put him back and his mother rewarded him with so much attention that I am sure he forgot all about the time they have been separated.

This is one sweet cat shot. It has a lot of emotive weight to it and the fact that the kitten is not facing the camera/viewer gives it more impact, in my opinion. The light is very interesting, too, althought there are a few burnt spots.

What a sweety. I like the lighting, the curled pose of the kitten does make me think of all alone - it against the big wide world! Good focus, nice composition. Well done. 7

I know this was a challenging exposure to do, but it seems that there's quite a portion of the cat's neck that got blown out.
