Not highly modified. Editing done in PSE2, with no cropping. I don't like the lighting, but I like the shape added by the shadows. I hope some of the voters like it, too, but I doubt I'll be that lucky.
Overexposed in camera to correct for "white/gray" problem. Shot under a mixed fluorescent / tungsten light. Not the best but all I had at the moment with a sick kid to put to bed.
Convert from RAW, after a DPP exposure adjustment of +.083 and a click white balance adjustment. Sharpness set at 8.
PSE2, I created a duplicate layer, Gaussian blurred and masked out the center. This was intended for noise, but I don't think it was necessary. Added a curves layer, then USMed 300, .3, 0, and then another USM of some radical setting for contrast.
Resized and sharpened, then saved for web.
