This would work better if the set in a a different place in the town where the streetlight is not so prominent and background mountains are. There is another image in this challenge that has a remarkably similar setting that works much better. It is at:

| Great shot, color, focus, overall good photo. 1/3rd do this photo great. Love the 2/3rds of it. I'll take your word that he is an Icelander and give you a 9. |

Awesome scenery for shooting around! Wish I was there! This could be a really good shot with this title if you could change the angle to get rid of all the stuff in the background that takes away from the 'lonely' feel. You could even pull him out of the doorway a little and he could help side some of the distractions like the light pole right in the middle...

| I think this is a good image depicting solitude or solitary, but the title throws me off a bit. Says he's lonely but his expression makes me think of someone taking in rays.. could just be my interpretation though. The lighting is great, the colors stand out nicely. Composition is good, nice empty street to contrast with the figure standing alone. Good clean image. 7 |

| how can he be lonely when someone has just left a pot of flowers...or are they for someone else..the expression isn\'t quite lonely but the image is effective anyway 6 |
