This entry is based on a quote from the television show "Family Guy", in which Lee Harvey Oswald attempts to save the president Kennedy from the man on the grassy knoll. The actual quote is "The man on the grassy knoll is about to shoot the president! Alright, Lee, time to become an American hero..." but I couldn't fit the word "American" in :-(

This is a last minute entry on the due date. I must have read it wrong because for some reason I thought the deadline was Dec. 5th.

I'm getting my Nikon D80 soon! But until then you'll have to suffer through the poor image quality of a sony handheld without any special equipment.

Post-processing through Gimp:

Sharpen
Unsharp Mask
Desaturate
Despeckle
Gaussian Blur filter to get blend the spots left by Despeckle.

Oh yes and cropped, rotated, and resized.

I have a feeling a lot of people won't understand the connection to the challenge, if so i'll explain it after the voting is over.

Well, I don't always see eye to eye with your taste in photos ;-) but I do get inspiration from your portfolio. You always seem to add some creative element to the challenge entry you're undertaking. Nice work.

The tip of the barrel feels out of focus or shaky. I would have used a slightly bigger dof.

He's going to save the president with a piece of plumbing tied to a hunk of wood?

I guess I don't get it. I don't see a grassy knoll, I see a what appears to be a girl holding a gun in a room balanced on a table. I don't see the historical significance. Your subject is holding what appears to be a very old shotgun (If it's even a real gun) that doesn't even have a forward sight. I just don't get it...

Doesn't really fit the challenge at all. What is that thing, anyway? It's not a gun.

I loved the concept on this picture. I also like the placement of the rifle and its shooter in the picture, very graphic savvy.
