Last min attempt after telling myself I don't have time for this with the holiday coming up. My normal 45 minute drive home from work turned into a 2 hour creep and crawl due to an icy snowstorm which I had plenty of time to think and think. So, during this time I envisioned this idea. I had only 30 minutes to set up snap 6 shots and edit and send. THIS IS THE LAST TIME I ACT ON AN IMPULSE AND DO NOT WORK MY WAY THROUGH IT AND GIVE MYSELF MORE THAN JUST 30 MINUTES . At first glance it seemed rich and interesting. If had to it again I would have focused more on the getting the camera over the board and light up the back ground just a tad more.
The intent was to appear that the player got mad and tossed the table. I wanted to have all of the pieces in motion but did not have the time to do this.

Personally, I think this missed the point of the challenge entirely...

contarst too high, too much black space, angle doesn't add, background too busy

Too contrasty, losing the details in the black. The tiltd board does nothing for me aesthetically, and I can make little sense of it.

great imagination, I am wishing the background chair had more lighting to bring it out. 7

The diagonal is forced. There are so many diagonal possibilities with a chess board, that tilting the camera seems unnecessary.

Too much black space. I do not enjoy this composition.

Diagonal composition feels forced; maybe a perspective from a corner looking up onto the board? Lighting is a bit harsh, background not adding to the image.
