For me the angle seems a little ackward, maybe try rotating it 90 degrees? (just my 2 cents)
Very sad image, but you've managed to catch the beauty of the whale with the lighting/reflections on the skin. Good shot

I can see why you have presented the image in landscape orientation, but it feels like I'm falling off a ladder. I think it would have worked better in portrait orientation.

Shame to see such beautiful creatures in this state.
