I believe I would be sad too if my life was just satnding in the same spot day in and day out on display with no freedom to roam. Very nice capture of emotion. |

the texture here is different than any other elephant shot I've seen. It's so smooth. this tight crop on an elephant's face is becoming almost a dpc cliche. yours is one of the best examples, but I still wonder what this would be like pulled back a little. ah, maybe not. you captured the sadness you saw. what more is needed? |

AWW I've seen her as well. I feel like they are wise and know so much more than we. Maybe I'm anthropomorphizing, but......

I love their eyelashes. And I agree, they always look sad. But I've seen them photographed in the wild (well, I've seen the pictures anyway) and they still look sad. I think they are very intelligent creatures with deep emotions. |

I would probably have voted this as a 6. I like it in general, there's a nice level of detail, but the front of his trunk where it looks a bit overexposed is a distracting element. |
